Magtax Professional Edition can create password protected PDFs of individual forms for sending to recipients.

 

NOTE:  There are rules related to email delivery of information returns.  At this time Magtax will not automatically email forms for you.

We will address this in the future.

 

 

On the 1099 Tab, select 1099-Misc or 1099-Nec from the "Create Secure PDFs" section.

 

 

 

You are presented with an option screen to choose which layout you want for the generated PDFs.

 

 

You also have the option to include ONLY payees with an email address.

 

 

 

Once you choose your options you can click Generate to begin the process of creating the forms and reference list.

 

Once the generation is complete you will see a link to the list of forms generated.

 

 

 

Click the link to display the list in your web browser.

 

 

The email column contains a 'mailto' command and will open a new message in your default email application.

 

All of the forms are contained in the "PDFs" folder under the Magtax data folders.

 

The Password for generated files is the last 4 digits if the tax ID plus the 5-digit zip code.  In the future we will add other options.
